How Adaptive SAT and ACT Prep Should Work

Why later retrieval matters

A skill can look secure immediately after an explanation and disappear a week later.   3. Collect the full result. Record answers, time, skipped items, tutor interactions, and the type of reasoning failure.
  4. Update skill evidence. Avoid letting one question produce a dramatic mastery change.
  5. Schedule the next useful encounter. Decide whether the skill needs immediate repair, fluency work, mixed practice, or a later retention check.
